PTC 2232 is produced as a cross-reference to the OEM:Komatsu 56B- 20-15900 that is mounted at the rear part of the axle in the driveline of the articulated dump trucks that operate along mining and quarry haul routes. High-tensile alloy steel is used to make the tube, which is paired to the OEM diameter and wall thickness, providing the tube with torsional strength to reliably transmit power to the rear axle in a variable load condition. The ends of the yoke are forged and machined accurately to ensure that spline engagement and alignment of the flange remain the same as the original geometry of the driveline. Every shaft is dynamically balanced before leaving the factory to ensure vibration is maintained within acceptable limits at working speed, which will prevent premature wear of rear axle seals and bearing housings. Paired with sealed, self-lubricated spider joints, PTC 2232 will ensure less frequent manual greasing between service stops.
