PTC 1016 is produced as a cross-reference part to replace OEM bearing parts – Komatsu 175-20-00060 / 17A-20-11211, which are used in the bulldozer in the drive line spider component. Being a stand-alone bearing component, not a complete spider kit, PTC 1016 enables maintenance staff to change worn trunnion needle bearings without having to obtain a complete cross assembly, as long as the current spider body is still within serviceable limits. The bearings are made of high-carbon chromium steel and hardened under a controlled heat treatment process to support the radial and thrust loads produced when using the dozer.
