PTC-1009 Spider Assembly (OEM: CAT 363-1923) is a heavy duty universal joint cross assembly that is employed in Caterpillar machinery drives, dump trucks and haul trucks. This spider is equipped on the driveshaft / propeller shaft assembly, which allows force of the engine to pass through the axle universal joint, and can fit Caterpillar 793C mining dump trucks.
Constructed of high-grade alloy steel forgings, PTC-1009 spider assembly offers excellent fatigue strength and impact resistance to meet harsh mining and earthmoving duty cycles. The trunnion journals are also hardened and precision-grounded to resist the constant high-torque load on heavy-duty off-highway use. All units are dimensionally equivalent to those of OEM meaning that they can be fitted with OEM equipment immediately without any equipment modifications and can be supplied with a full quality inspection report.
